Opened in 1984 to mark Birtle's Centennial.
Items in the museum focus on settlers of yesteryear
with its theme of "The Past, in the Present, for the Future".
Hours of operation - June 1st - Sept. 30th, daily
except Sundays, 1 P.M. - 4 P.M.
The upstairs has been recreated as a home in the year 1903
while the
downstairs houses
displays of local
interest including
native artifacts.
Special displays are created around a particular theme throughout the year.
School classes are particularly welcome.
The staff provides guided tours suited to different age groups.
A microfiche file of historical articles and newspapers is also available.
