Birtle is situated in Manitoba on Highway 83 which is one of the provincial north-south arteries providing a major link between the Northern Manitoba Parklands and the United States.

We are 322 km west of Winnipeg and 150 km north-west of Brandon near the Saskatchewan border.

A main CPR Rail Line (Winnipeg-Edmonton) runs along the edge of the town.
